Make the Most of Your Unique Marketing Opportunity

s-11831762_10153322273617530_5508414605348744426_nIf you had access to free billboards where you could promote your businesses would you turn it down or would you jump on the opportunity?  And if you had that opportunity, wouldn't you want to create a great impression and deliver high impact advertising?

mesh-banner-for-fences-construction-bellevue-waMany businesses pay a premium for high exposure outdoor advertising space - on billboards, buses, bus shelters, etc.  And once they've got it, they put forth their best efforts to maximize return on that investment with a great looking advertisement.

Your construction site banners are exactly that...  a valuable advertising opportunity for you and your businesses partners.  And it is well worth a small amount of time and effort to ensure they look great for your building site and reflect well on your business.  Below are 5 simple tips to achieve great looking construction fence banners:

1.  The Right Size

Want to avoid a saggy looking fence banner?  Here's our secret.  Order your construction barricade fence banner slightly smaller than the actual size of the fence.  A standard section of fencing is usually 6' x 8' or 6' x 12'.  We often recommend mesh banners that are sized 4" less than the actual fence height.  This gives the installer 2" on top and bottom to create tension in the material to ensure a proper, clean, and wrinkle-free fit.   For example, for a 6' tall fence we would recommend a 5'-8" tall banner to avoid that saggy fence banner look you often see on job sites.  Even if your contractor or fence company tells you the fence height and length is "standard" - make sure you confirm the sizes of your fences before ordering your banners to ensure a neat orderly look for your job site.

2.  The Right Banner Material

As you can see by the image on the left, the mesh banner has the appearance is designed to let wind pass through while not disrupting the quality of the image.

3.  The Right Construction

Make sure your banner has reinforced hems.  These banners are subjected to all types of wind and weather.  The secret to keeping them looking good is ensuring they are constructed to be in the same condition the  day you take them down as they were on the day you put them up.  Double stitching and reinforced hems ensure that your grommets stay firmly in place without ripping or tearing.                    .

4.  The Right Hardware

Or maybe we should say - the right amount of hardware.  It doesn't take anything special other than zip ties to get your banner installed on the fence.  But having an abundance of grommets in your banner is key.  More grommets gives you more opportunities to anchor your banner to the fence with a nice amount of tension across the surface of the banner.  Consistent tension = great looking advertising.  We recommend grommets every 18 - 24 inches.
