Since it was founded in Bellevue 20 years ago, Expedia has developed into an international online travel booking giant today. Last year, Expedia set up a new office in the Civica Office Commons building just a block away from its headquarter. RainMaker Signs had the honor to install creative and inspiring office wall murals in this new expansion.
One-Stop World Vacation Itinerary Planning
No matter where you are traveling to, Expedia is the online travel agent that takes care of everything for you - from hotels booking, transportation arrangements, to destination planning. Growing from a new start-up to a Fortune 500 international business, Expedia has rapidly expanded from just one single brand to a parent company that holds ownership to many leading online booking sites, including Trivago, Hotels.com, Hotwire, Travelocity, etc..
Expedia's success cannot be made possible without the 18,000+ employees that work across 30 countries. According to Business Insider, Expedia is the 7th best tech company to work for in America. Employees at the flourishing tech company enjoy employee travel discounts and work at an innovative workplace where explorations and work-life balance are encouraged.
Office Wall Graphics That Give New Perspectives
Expedia sets its mission to revolutionize people's travel experience with technology. And as an origin of its innovations, the new Expedia Bellevue office is designed to inspire creativity. Electric Coffin, a group of Seattle artists, designed five pieces of wall murals for the tech giant. RainMaker Signs executed their designs by handling the production and installation of the tech company wall graphics.
Electric Coffin's creations used very bold colors and are themed relevant to Expedia as a travel business. Other than the waiting room wall mural, which shows a repeating pattern, the other four pieces feature local Washington destinations, including Mt. Rainier, Copper Lake, and the Olympic National Park. Walking around an office with these vibrant visuals take Expedia's passionate staffers on adventures to think unconventionally to challenge the status quo. RainMaker Signs is excited that Electric Coffin is happy with our execution of their masterpieces:
"Those [wall murals] are bad ass!! You guys ruled it!!"
- Patrick “Duffy” De Armas, Principal of Electric Coffin
Quality And Durable Office Signs And Graphics
RainMaker Signs kicked off Expedia's office mural project with a site analysis to measure wall dimensions and material tests. These are the crucial first steps to take in order to produce perfectly fitted and long lasting wall murals. Using quality vinyl printed with HP Latex ink, the wall graphics have vivid colors that are less proned to fading.
